Course Overview

This is an advanced, hands-on, intrusion and countermeasures course designed for those who need to learn how to protect computers, networks and internet sites from ATTACKS. It includes the latest EXPLOITS and new tools that help determine the source of the intrusions.

 

Goals and Objectives

Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to:

Recognize the tools used to capture passwords and how sniffers and Trojan horses occur
Improve security, capture audit trails and enforce security procedures
Apply scanning tools to discover weaknesses

This class will include a demonstration of the tools available and how they would be applied.

Hands-on Exercies

Student will apply hands-on exercises and perform attacks on a victim. Scanning and Penetration techniques will be covered. State-of-the-art intruder techniques, including RCP hi-jacking and password sniffing programs are applied in practical exercises.
